For me, tarot has more of a therapeutic purpose more than anything else. It helps cut through the din of any anxious thoughts to get to the root of what’s troubling me.
This is my feeling about any oracle work: it should be a therapeutic tool over and above a glimpse into the future. I don’t believe in fate, and I think just because something is headed in a particular direction doesn’t mean it can’t be diverted.
So my most recent tarot questions have been centered around questions like, “What do I need to know that I don’t know?” and more recently, “What can I do to be happy?”
I asked for 7 cards, and when I started shuffling, these were the ones that fell out of the deck. So much about positive energy (Chariot), change (Death), and with the 7 of Swords, allowing things to play out naturally. All of these are good reminders to sit with the work I’m doing, and trusting that it’s all going to work out great.
